Lilama Joint Stock Company 18 of Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation (abbreviated to LILAMA 18 JSC) is a business with over 30 years’ experience in the areas of machinery erection, has executed many major works of the country. At present, Lilama 18 has over 3,500 employees working in localities throughout the country such as Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Ca Mau, O Mon, Nhon Trach and Dai Ninh Power Plants, Vung Tau Oil and Gas Port works, etc.

In the New Year’s Eve of 2008, the Youth Union Activities Steering Committee of Ca Mau Gas-Power-Nitrogenous Fertilizer Complex and over 800 workers on the construction site gather together to celebrate this festive event.

Between November 27 – December 1, 2007, at Hanoi University of Technology Stadium, the traditional Lilama Football Cup 2007 in celebration of the founding anniversary of Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation and welcoming the 17th Corporation Trade Union Conference was organized by Youth Union in combination with Corporation Trade Union.

On the Ca Mau Power Plant site, Lilama young workers are trying to finish a gigantic work volume and bring the plant into operation on schedule: open cycle generation in March 2007. More than anyone else, it is Lilama workers who are aware of the responsibility that each of them is assuming, because this is not simply a key project but also a “youth project”.

LILAMA Corporation Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Le Van affirmed: “Tradition shall be the connection so that the young generation of Lilama can follow. And the young generation of Lilama is resolved to further glorify the image of a trade name that has established its prestige in the country’s industry”.

At the present time when the country is facing the new opportunities and challenges, i.e. tendency towards global integration and science and technology are at a high level of development, each youth member of Lilama has to bring into play the tradition of hisher foregoers, continuing striving, studying and acquiring advances of science and technique to fulfill every task assigned and build the culture of Lilama according to the three basic criteria, i.e. industrial working style, intelligence and solidarity so as to develop the Lilama trade name in an ever stronger manner.
